In the forests of Vermont, chemical reactions among fungi create evocative, characteristic patterns within the grain of our spalted wood material for interior cladding.
Our Tactile Spalted Wood™ surfaces are comprised of naturally occurring delineations within aged maple wood grain, which are instilled via chemical interactions among different forest mushrooms. As a result, no two batches of wood are the same.
Standard designs include various bookmatched and non-bookmatched patterns, available in an assortment of finishes and stains.
The cladding system includes panels with dimensions up to 4’0” wide and 4’0” tall. Spalted wood is mounted to rigid panels, which are then attached to the surface with our engineered fixing system.
