Weaved wire or thin-perforated metal is placed within high-performance interlayers to capture the metallic qualities of the material without the long-term maintenance concerns. We offer stainless steel, bronze, copper and aluminum encapsulated materials.
Even delicate mediums like paper and fabric can now be encapsulated within high-performance interlayers to offer a softer quality of defused light. The laminating process reduces the ultraviolet penetration and protects the paper and fabric from degradation.
There are a number of stone materials that are translucent and display beautiful patterns when backlit. Unfortunately, many of these same stone materials are not stable enough to be exposed to direct weather or require thicknesses that negatively impact their translucent quality. Our thin stone slabs are encapsulated within two layers of high-performance interlayer and glass to allow translucence and stability.
We have developed new methods to capture the iridescent character of film, craft glass and natural minerals in laminated glass. We utilize water clear inter-layers to insure that the iridescent material is not muted.
