Laminated glass has diverse uses as a material for sunshades. Numerous patterns can be introduced to the glass material with the use of frits, direct digital printing, interlayers and casting. New advances in ceramic frit technology allow application on the #1 surface, which enhances the visual impact of the pattern and increases the shading performance. Direct digital printing allows for highly-detailed, multicolored patterns and images. Metallic high-definition films placed between the interlayers produce a weaved-metal appearance. The glass units can be slump cast or molten cast for infinitely variable shapes and patterns.
